How Much Does 0.75L of Paint Cover?

A 0.75L (750ml) tin of paint covers around 12 m² with one coat, or roughly 6 m² once you've applied the two coats most paints recommend. That figure is based on Dulux's own published coverage rate of up to 16 m² per litre for the products actually sold in 750ml tins.
0.75L is a woodwork size, not a wall paint size
Dulux doesn't sell Matt or Silk wall emulsion in 0.75L. The 750ml tin is used for their quick-dry woodwork and undercoat ranges instead. If you've searched for this because you're painting a door, window frame or skirting, this is almost certainly the product you're holding.

If you're painting walls instead
Wall emulsion (Dulux Matt or Silk) covers roughly 14 m² per litre, a bit less than the quick-dry woodwork products. A 0.75L tin of wall emulsion, if you found one, would cover around 10.5 m² one coat or 5.25 m² two coats. In practice you're unlikely to buy emulsion in this size - it's sold from 2.5L upwards. Is 0.75L a standard Dulux tin size?
Yes, but only for certain products. Dulux sells 750ml (0.75L) tins of Quick Dry Satinwood, Quick Dry Gloss and Weathershield Quick Dry Undercoat. It is not a standard size for Dulux Matt or Silk wall emulsion, which start at 2.5L.
How many coats does a 0.75L tin cover?
Dulux recommends 2 coats for all three of these products. A 750ml tin gives you roughly 6 m² covered with both coats done, or up to 12 m² if you only need a single coat.
Will one 0.75L tin be enough for a door?
For a standard UK internal door and frame (around 4-5 m² combined), one 750ml tin of satinwood or gloss is usually enough for two coats, with a little left for touch-ups.
